Guess what? The sports betting community are backing Tiger to win the US Open. Tiger Woods odds are currently sitting at 3-1 (bet $100 to win $300), as the big favorite to claim yet another US Open title.
Online golf betting has seen a huge upsurge since Tiger Woods turned pro. When he's in a tournament, he is always a big favorite, with "Tiger Woods prop plays" dominating the betting menu board. And Tiger has often paid off for those betting on him.
Online sportsbooks putting up the US Open odds and odds for all tournaments that Tiger enters, are forced to post up big favorite odds on him to try and get some balanced sports betting action. The US Open is the second of the year's four golf majors, played in June every year. This year's tourney will be hosted by BethPage State Park, a municipally-owned course.
